After the tragic loss of RAF Senior Aircraftsman Scott Stevenson following last Friday’s Inter Services fixture against the Army, a decision had been pending on the final round of the competition. The fixtures are scheduled to be held this Friday between the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
Having considered the wishes of Scott’s family, the players and staff of RAFRL and RNRL, it has been decided that the final round of the Inter Services Competition will take place as planned at the LD Nutrition Stadium, the home of Featherstone Rovers RLFC.
A tribute of a minute’s silence will be observed prior to the Academy and Women’s fixtures, with a minute’s applause conducted prior to the Men’s XIII game, to allow respects to be paid to Scott Stevenson.
